Will the VEISE lock fit my door?
VEISE smart locks are designed to fit most standard deadbolt doors in the US and Canada. They work with doors that are 1-3/8" to 2" thick and require a 2-1/8" bore hole. If your door has a separate handle and deadbolt, you're good to go. For non-standard setups, check our compatibility guide or reach out to our support team.
What happens if the battery dies?
The VEISE app sends you low-battery warnings weeks in advance. Even if the battery does run out, you can temporarily power the lock with a 9V battery from the outside, or simply use your physical backup key. Your settings and fingerprints remain saved.
Can I install it myself?
Absolutely. Every VEISE lock is designed for true DIY installation with just a Phillips screwdriver. No drilling, no wiring, and no professional help needed. Most customers complete installation in 10 to 20 minutes following our step-by-step video guide.
Is there a monthly fee for the app?
No. The VEISE app is completely free to download and use. All core features including fingerprint management, keypad codes, auto-lock settings, and entry logs are included at no extra cost. The VE300 Wi-Fi features also require no subscription.
